UK-based insurance provider expands to the US

GG Insurance Services, a specialist provider of insurance products to the games industry, has announced that it is expanding to the United States.

The London-based company was founded in 2018 to fill the need for specialist gaming solutions within the market. Its policies range from game developers’ insurance to coverage for e-sports teams.

Following the success of the launch, the company extended its business overseas and has now opened a fully licensed office in the US. As part of its expansion, GG Insurance Services has collaborated with the International Game Developers Association (IGDA), a trade organization serving people who create games.

“Although we already have clients internationally, I am delighted to announce the recent opening of our new, fully licensed office in Houston, Texas,” said Philip Wildman, director of GG Insurance Services. “This means we are now able to better assist our clients in the USA, with a wider range of options and more flexible international support from our local team. Also, we are excited to have officially joined the IDGA as a partner member. The support they already give the industry is invaluable, and we hope to complement this further by offering comprehensive protection to their members with our industry-specific insurance solutions.”

The US is second only to China as the top market for gaming revenue, estimated at $36.921 billion in 2020, GG Insurance Services said.
