One80 Launches Transportation Threat Protect Program for Commercial Auto Operations

One80 Intermediaries (One80), a national wholesale insurance broker and program manager headquartered in Boston, has launched the Transportation Threat Protect (TTP) program.

TTP was designed to protect commercial drivers and transport operations from the growing risk of hijack, kidnap, malicious detention and extortion on the border between the USA and Mexico. The insurance program offers risk mitigation, reimbursement of ransom costs, public relations support and access to a crisis management consultancy as required.

Transportation Threat Protect can help firms to mitigate risk with online training designed to help the operation and the employees avoid being a target. Access to a global security center and crisis consultants are also available if needed to help manage an incident to safe resolution.

Additionally, financial protection provided through this program includes ransom costs, employee salary expenses, travel, accommodation, medical costs and psychiatric care. Public relations support to manage and minimize any reputational damage to the business is also included.

The program operates in partnership with Hiscox Special Risks.
