Hiscox Names Bert Spunberg U.S. Head of Strategy and Business Transformation

Hiscox (New York) has named Bert Spunberg Head of Strategy and Business Transformation in the US. The global specialty insurer reports that Spunberg will be responsible for identifying, scoping and delivering significant US business transformation projects and will be based in White Plains, New York. Spunberg will report to Steve Langan, CEO, Hiscox USA.

Prior to his appointment, Spunberg served as EVP, Business Transformation and led a number of strategic initiatives for Hiscox USA, including the successful delivery of a core system and business architecture change initiative. He began his career in 2000 at AIG, where he held underwriting positions of increasing responsibility, before taking on other strategic roles and moving to Hiscox in 2009 as a Vice President. Spunberg earned his MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Babson Graduate School, following a BBA in Finance, Risk Management and Insurance, from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
