Confianza (Albuquerque, N.M.), a recently-launched insurance data analytics company formed by longtime insurance industry leaders John Petricelli and Jeffrey Glazer, has announced that David Young of Albuquerque, New Mexico has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.

Young has more than 30 years of experience in technology leadership roles as CTO and CEO of companies throughout numerous technology-driven industries, most recently having served as founding CTO and Senior Product Manager at SambaSafety, a provider of driver risk management solutions,.
As CTO, Young is responsible for spearheading all aspects of Confianza’s Insurance services platform hosted in the modern cloud environment as powered by Amazon Web Services and what the vendor describes as state-of-the-art security features. Designed to deliver insurance candidate insight, Confianza’s platform supports every aspect of well-known Web development convention, including the REST API specification, making integration with its API available to all customers independent of theircurrent systems’ selection of programming language, the vendor statement says.

Supporting its own proprietary knowledge and technology, representing a comprehensive national database summarizing more than 700 million consumer and business records into more than 260 million records with 500+ elements of information, the Confianza Web platform also incorporates support for multiple partner data sources also supported by the platform’s knock out strategy for minimizing costs and rendering rapid decisions on this extensive consumer behavior and insight, the vendor statement says. With 22 sources ensuring the most comprehensive information available in the industry consolidated behind a single Confianza API, users enjoy a single point of entry for all information, according to Confianza.
Young also serves as a mentor and speaker to provide students with insight into Web application technology. He is the author of two books, including Enhydra MLC for Java Presentation Development (SAMS Publishing, 2001) and has written articles on key topics including guidance on integrating telephone and Web services.
